What can members do?

There are many ways you can engage as an NailsworthCAN member:

  • Start a conversation with family, friends, neighbours or work colleagues

  • Share what you have been doing in words, pictures and video clips

  • Try out the Quick Tips we have suggested and tell us about yours

  • Try the further tips for each theme under Our Work, and explore the project ideas

  • Help out at NailsworthCAN stalls and engage with the public

  • Lend us your knowledge or expertise in developing a project

  • Liaise with businesses and public organisations to promote our work

  • Get involved with fund-raising.

  • Write to a political representative with your concerns or thoughts on positive actions needed.

We have over 100 members with different interests, experiences, and knowledge. We’d love you to join us, so that you can be part of the NailsworthCAN team to grow the network of action across the town.

Our approach is to encourage and support efforts locally - by community groups, businesses, schools, churches, Nailsworth Town Council and householders - and to celebrate positive achievements.

Sometimes we lead initiatives but we also provide practical support to projects led by other groups, offering expertise when needed. On other occasions we see our role as simply getting the conversation going and providing a catalyst for action.

We are inclusive and not affiliated to any political party.

Your data will be secure and not shared outside of the NailsworthCAN Core Team.
