Deeper Dives

There are so many aspects of nature and conservation, and good sources for ideas for how to better conserve natural habitats and woodland. Here are some examples.

  1. "Woodlands for climate and nature: A review of woodland planting and management approaches in the UK for climate change mitigation and biodiversity conservation", Report to the RSPB by Ellie Crane, February 2020 The RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) has produced a wide ranging report on tree planting and conservation for UK.

  2. Project Drawdown Project Drawdown is an international project to identify and quantify the contribution of a very wide range of contributing solutions to global warming, which together can halt the rise of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. While it includes solutions relevant to all the themes on our website, it does offer inspiration on the contribution that natural solutions can make. Much of this knowledge can inspire us in our local efforts on nature restoration.
